    Like a lot of DJs, I heard about this book but wasn’t interested by it, thinking that nothing can replace the knobs of my mixer. However, few points in the introduction held my attention, such as "the back up system": for pros, the worst nightmare is the crash of the gear during a gig; there are solutions, but not as complete as a full set-up in an iPad/iPhone… I downloaded the book… and discovered the full potential of what DJing on Apple devices can bring: the possibilities are limitless; you can mix for fun anywhere you want, you can decide last minute to be the DJ at a birthday party on the spot, you can prepare a mixtape in the train, etc etc… No matter what, it’s working… and it’s fun! A detail: In the book, Phil Morse advices what works well, but also explains why other choices are less good. Expect real tips, which is what I like with "Digital Dj Tips" articles in general. Finally, last but not least, with 172 pages & videos, the book is not only teaching how to set an iPad or an iPhone for mixing, but is actually teaching how to be a DJ (answering to almost every possible questions a DJ of any level can have!!) It’s a must have (a bible?) if you are a DJ or if you just want to have more fun with music… Cheers from Switerland!
