| Om Namah Shivaya everyone,
Boy, were we busy last week! We finished Ramayana storytelling,
and Dr. Raji was very engaging describing Hanuman and Lanka war.
Then, we practiced our Rama skit and had a very successful performance
in the beginning of the satsang. Everybody was delighted to see
wonderful impersonations of Rama (Naren), Sita(Dasha), king Janak(Zhenya),
Lakshman(Julieanna), sage Vishwamitra(Paru), and 3 less fortunate
princes (Madhav, Arun, and Nishkama). Very special thank you to
Sumathy, Raji, and Naren for the costumes, props, and set up.
But that was not the end of our work. All children got creatively
busy working on their mini-altars. Totally, they made 7 altars,
and they were so beautiful - decorated with special fabric and paper,
pearls and jewels, with Amma or Ganeshan in the center. Children
took their mini-altars home to have a very special place in their
rooms. Thank you to everyone who contributed the materials.
Briefly, this Saturday (tomorrow)'s plan:
1) yoga;
2) cleanliness discussion;
3) Shiva story by Dr. Raji;
4) Valentine's day special project - making chocolate strawberries
and cookies.
Please, join us.
Love, Olga
